Delhi, Jaipur, Agra
Day 1: Delhi to Jaipur
Arrive Delhi and drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a color coat of pink a century ago in honor of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this color. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 2: Jaipur
Morning visit Amber Fort with an Elephant ride till the main entrance of the fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Rest of the day is free and optional visit to Chokhi Dhani resort - built in ethnical Rajasthani style and especially in the evening they organize lot of activities like, camel ride, Puppet show, Snake charmer and handloom cloths etc. along with specialized Rajasthani/continental Dinner as well. Return to hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 3: Jaipur - Agra
Drive to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri (Abandoned city) en-route. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. Continue drive to Agra and upon arrival rest of the day is free and stay overnight at Agra hotel.
Day 4: Agra
Morning visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad- ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father.
Afternoon drive to Delhi for your onward journey.
