Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Arrive in Delhi either late night or early morning, meet our representative at airport for assistance. Transfer to hotel & relax there to over come jet- lag.
Day 2: At Delhi
Ancient with the cosmopolitan. Revel in marvellous shopping, a treasure trove of architectural monuments, some of the swankiest restaurants in India and heavenly street food. Enjoy a full day city tour of Delhi. Visit: Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tomb, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, India Gate & Raj Ghat in Delhi. Over night at the hotel.
Day 3: Delhi - Agra
Agra is famous as being home to one of the seven wonders of the world-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid remainder of the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries.Morning drive to Agra en-route visiting Sikandra. Sikandra houses Emperor Akbar's Mausoleum and is just 4 kms from Agra. On arrival in Agra, check into the hotel. In afternoon, visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 A.D. to enshrine his Queen Mumtaz Mahal's mortal remains. Later, visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience.
Day 4: Agra - Jaipur
Morning drive to Jaipur en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri (old deserted town of Mughal Dynasty). See the beautiful Jama Masjid / The Buland Darwaza, palace of Queen Jodha Bai, Birbal's (a Minister) Palace. On arrival at Jaipur, check in to your hotel. Evening visit to Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic village resort. The vitality of Rajasthani folk culture comes alive as children dance rhythmically to the loud tenor of folk songs sung by men and women, festooned in bright clothes. Gaily caparisoned camel, horses and bullock carts offer joy rides. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Jaipur
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel and leave for a half-day sightseeing tour to the hilltop fortress at Amer. Ascend the imposing fort on a painted elephant(optional). In the afternoon, tour the old walled city of Jaipur. Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this ‘pink city’ is meticulously constructed on the lines of the Shilpa-Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. Visit the unique Jantar Mantar Observatory situated in the heart of the city. Built in the 1700's (A.D), it still looks futuristic. Nearby is the ornate Hawa Mahal (the palace of winds). The old City Palace & its museum display a rare fusion of Mughal and Hindu architecture, and house a rare collection of paintings, Rajasthani armory and costumes. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Jaipur - Delhi
After an early breakfast, depart for Delhi. Check in to your hotel & rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 7: Delhi - Cochin
After an early breakfast, depart by air for Cochin a city of Kerala.Welcome to Kerala, God's Own Country. With the Arabian Sea on the west, the western ghats towering 500 - 2700m on the east and Kerala is networked by forty-four rivers. Kerala is a very easy place to simply sit back and enjoy. The name means "land of coconuts" and the palms shade nearly the entire state from the tropical sun; many call the beach at Kovalam the best in India, tranquil stretches of emerald backwaters, lush green hill stations and exotic wildlife, ayurvedic health resorts, enchanting art forms, magical festivals, historic and cultural monuments, an exotic cuisine… all of which offers a unique experience. From beaches to lush green countryside, tea-estates, wild life sanctuaries, magestic temples and peaceful backwater cruises & ayurvedic health tours.
Kerala is one of the ten 'Paradises Found' declared by the National Geographic Traveler & places Kerala in “One of the 50 greatest destinations list”. Cosmopolitan describes Kerala as one of the ten love nests in India. Travel & Leisure recommends Kerala as “One of the 100 great trips for the 21st century”.
On arrival check into your hotel & after refreshment leave for local sightseeing of Cochin. From times immemorial, Arabs, Chinese, Dutch, British and Portuguese seafarers followed the sea route to Cochin and left their impressions on the town. The harbour is the nucleus around which Cochin has grown to become the Queen of the Arabian Sea. The Chinese fishing nets, believed to be erected in 1350 AD, swaying in the breeze over backwaters, the Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Portuguese Architecture, Bolghatty Palace etc. enrich the heritage of Kerala.
Day 8: Cochin - Thekkady
After an early breakfast, depart for Thekkady. On arrival check in to the Hotel. Afternoon you can go for boat cruise in the Lake to watch wild animals. Boating through Periyar lake will be ever memorable one. Overnight at stay at hotel. Thekkady, is one of India's most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries, where you can watch wildlife at close range. The vegetation, the flora and fauna and the birds of Thekkady are uniquely rich, vast and varied that it does not bear semblance to any other wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Even a casual visitor to this place will not fail to observe the special ecological pattern of Thekkady.
Day 9: Thekkady
After breakfast at the hotel and leave for sightseeing tour of Thekkady. Today morning you can go to see the rare species of plantations and animals. Afternoon visit spice plantation like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee, and tea estate etc… On way back to hotel you could stop the local market and pick up some fragrant spices Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: Thekkady - Kumarkom
After an early breakfast, depart for Kumarkom check in to your hotel by noon. Over night stay at hotel.Kumarakom is undoubtedly the most invigorating, fascinating paradise in Kerala, God's own country. The slender coconut palms standing here, there and everywhere, its never ending paddy fields, meandering lagoons and backwaters, mangroves nesting birds of a hundred varieties can peacefully calm and invigorate your mind with renewed inspiration for your vocation and life. Kumarakom the charming emerald peninsula jutting into the ever-effervescent Vembanad Lake takes you into the heart of the scenic lake where you'll come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes. The fresh water of the lake runs into the mainland making a labyrinth of lagoons, brooks, canals and waterways. The backwater houses a variety of species of both fauna and flora. That is the pristine beauty of Kumarakom.
Day 11: Kumarkom
Sightseeing in Kumarakom include Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, an ornithologist's paradise is a favourite haunt of migratory birds like the siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal or you can relax at your hotel & enjoy scenic beauty. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12: Kumarkom - Alleppey
Pick up by houseboat at 12:00 noon from Kumarakom Hotel. Overnight stay at Rainbow Cruises – house boat. Traditionally, the houseboat was called kettuvallom, which means a boat made by tying together pieces of wood. Incredable may sound, not a single nail is used in the making of a kettuvallom. Jack wood planks are joined together with coir rope and then coated with black resin made from boiled cashew nut shells. Today, these giant 80 foot long crafts have been adapted into luxuriously furnished houseboats. A kettuvallom usually has one or two bath attached bed rooms, an open lounge, deck, kitchenette and a crew comprising oarsmen, a cook and guide. Alleppey is one of the most exotic backwater sites of kerala & it is popularly known as ' Venice of the East'. It is interlocked by a number of canals, lakes & lagoons. Alleppey is nestling in between Arabian sea & Vembanad Lake. Alleppey has been gifted with immense natural beauty.
Day 13: Alleppey - Kovalam
Drop by houseboat at 09:00 am at Alleppey Boat Jetty and then same day transfer to Kovalam by surface & check in to your hotel. Kovalam is one of India's internationally renowned beaches, in the God's own country, Kerala. A favorite haunt of Europeans since the 1930s, Kovalam consists of three successive crescent beaches. Kovalam, a sheltered natural bay, the azure blue waters and the sumptuous spread of green palm groves make it a tropical paradise of sorts. Sun bathing, Swimming, Ayurvedic Rejuvenation, Yoga and meditation, Herbal body toning massages, Special Cultural Programmers, Catamaran cruising; the possibilities are many. The Kovalam lighthouse beach is where most visitors spend their time.
Day 14: Kovalam
Enjoy & relax whole day at Kovalam beach.
Day 15: kovalam - Trivandrum - Kovalam
After breakfast at hotel, depart for day trip to Kanyakumari. The southern most tip of India, Kanyakumari is the point where the three mighty water bodies, the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean converge. The famous Vivekananda Rock memorial amidst the turbulent sea is a major attraction. Kanyakumari is famous for its spectacular sunrise and sunset views.
Day 16: Departure to Delhi
Morning after breakfast departure transfer to Trivandram airport for Delhi. Check in to your hotel. Evening free for shopping.
