This place is both a breeding and nesting ground for different species such as spoonbills, ibis, stocks and cormorants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chilka Lake Bird Sanctuary is also an interesting spot. Several migratory birds visit here during the wintertime. This lake had been considered as the largest tropical lake present in India. Some of the birds found here are Jacana, graylag, heron, geese and flamingos. This place is considered as one of the biggest breeding grounds for flamingoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary located in Kerala is also a wonderful bird sanctuary with deciduous and evergreen forests and grassland. It is home to about five hundred different species of birds. Dr Salim Ali gets all the credit for making his bird sanctuary adding glamour to wildlife India.
